- Reconsideration of the
senate recommendation approved at the November meeting, which would
allow students to walk during graduation ceremonies with the following
restriction: students who are no more than one course (which may
have an associated lab) shy of fulfilling all degree requirements, will
be allowed to petition the UDC for permission to participate in
commencement ceremonies.
- Discuss the Spring
2010 (and years following) calendar, in which classes will start one week
before Martin Luther King, and graduation will occur one week after
Mother's Day, so that there will be two weeks in between finals and
graduation, extending the contract for faculty by one week each academic
year.

to recommend that the chair of the PRC be tenured.
- Vote on Senate Makeup
starting Fall 2009 due to college restructuring. In December, the senate
discussed recommending 5 senators from each college, no more than 2 from
each department. Should there be a maximum of 1 or 2 untenured faculty
from each college?
- Examine
recommended
changes to committee structure in handbook to accommodate 3 college model (Lambert)

- Recommend
re-examination of scheduled post tenure review, which duplicates in part
the annual review process. A relevant part of the handbook is XII.8.b.5)a
(page 109) and XII.8.b.5).g.(2) (page 111)
